Admission to all courses is based on merit as per rules and norms laid down by the Director Technical Education ( DTE), Maharashtra State. Direct Admission Management Quota Admission

MIT Pune has understood the importance of this new development and therefore has started International Education Centre to act as a single window facilitator to International (foreign) students for admissions to different institutions of MIT Pune. There are about 71 Institutions run by MIT Pune offering courses in Engineering, Management, Medicine, Pharmacy and so on.

B. Tech (Electrical Engineering)

In the present era of innovation, more than ever before opportunities and challenges have emerged for advancement in the field of electrical and power engineering. The market requirements, including those of customers and regulators have been changed along with development in ICT and Smart Grid Technologies. Due to automation, nowadays there is a need of connected devices that can be controlled and reconfigured remotely. Innovative services are yet to be developed to handle the most important issues of reliability and resilience in power sector. At the same time, we have had been moving towards renewable energy generation, electric vehicles, smart and automated machines, smart cities, and many different paradigms. With such changes, many more challenges are being posed for the engineers, and they need to find new ways to tackle it. Hence, at MIT World Peace University, we have designed a unique Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) Programme in Electrical Engineering by taking cognizance of future directions of the electrical and power engineering along with an emphasis on life skills development and world peace. Four year full-time degree provides comprehensive theoretical, practical and real life knowledge of Electrical Engineering as demanded by the industry today and for the future. Our B. Tech programme is based on three cardinal principles: providing social context to education, giving a choice to the students to choose a career path, encouraging active learning.

Why to Choose?

At MIT-WPU, we focus on developing a deeper knowledge of electrical engineering among the students to make them industry ready professionals and also next generation entrepreneurs in global settings. We provide the skills which enables them to steer and progress in their career in this field. Our emphasis is on providing diverse platforms to explore, discover, and nurture the students’ true potential along with enriching academic pursuit. Such holistic approach stimulates innovation among the students by inspiring fresh ideas with different perspectives, creative thinking, and strong conviction to achieve true success. The curriculum includes study of physics, engineering mathematics, and in-depth exposure of foundations, core and elective courses in the field of electrical, electronics, computer, software, control, and automation with an interdisciplinary approach. The program has three specialization tracks, viz. energy systems, smart grid technology, and embedded control and systems. MIT-WPU programmes ensure an overall development of students through social internship, national and international study tours to make them global and social professionals. Our pedagogy emphasises on output than input, learning than teaching, experiential and collaborative learning, personality development through World Peace Method and such other unique approaches.

In this Programme, You will learn….

First year provides foundation in basic with applied approch. Since design is an activity central to the engineering profession, students in very first year are exposed to design thinking. Social internship in first year is credit based and exposes the students to the problems faced by community. This is expected to sow the seeds of socially oriented innovation in student’s mind. Second year courses are designed to provide grounding in basic engineering sciences from the chosen discipline. Summer internship at the end of second year involves guided study tour. The tour will expose the student to our diverse culture, technology achievements and challenges. Third and fourth year will include subjects belonging to the chosen track in his/her own discipline. International study tour of four weeks will offer global exposure whereas semester-long industry internship/project in final year will offer real life industry experience. This Capstone and interdisciplinary project will include problem solving skills, team spirits, professional ethics and habit of self-learning.

How will this Programme be taught?

One of the most versatile disciplines of engineering, Electrical Engineering, involves design, development and up-gradation of circuits, systems and processes in every walk of human life. At MIT-WPU, we develop Electrical Engineers with sound human values and sense of world citizenship. Our objective is to offer students with real life industrial exposure. National and international study tour will offer domesstiv and global exposure to our students. Our programme offers three tracks of specialization which lead to careers in cutting edge technologies like energy systems, smart grid technology and embedded controls and systems. Electrical Engineering curriculum is imparted with active learning methods like problem based learning (PBL), experimental learning and collaborative learning. Choice based course selection, capstone projects and electives across disciplines offer a much needed inter-disciplinary approach to budding Electrical Engineers. The University is equipped with the state-art-of-the-infrastructure, highly experienced faculty, and strong industry-academia connect.
