Program Overview
The Indian media and entertainment (M&E) industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the country. Its various segments-film, television, advertising, prints media, music and digital among others-has witnessed tremendous growth in the last few years.
As per a FICCI-KPMG report, The Media and Entertainment industry in India is poised to grow at a CAGR of 13.9 per cent, to grow from INR 1026 billion in 2014 to reach INR 1964 billion by 2019.
In an industry synonymous with creativity and innovation, the bar for business excellence is set high. The Media Industry has gone through a sea of changes since the turn of the century. Be it any work spheres, none of them have been left unaffected.
Welingkar education has leveraged these changes in the past years to train the mind and sharpen the soul of all its management graduates toward creating meaning in the time they have chosen to invest.
The Post Graduate Diploma in Media and Entertainment at the Welingkar Institute of Management & Research has been set part from the fact that curriculum taught to the students has all the required aspects to sustain and thrive as a successful professional in the Dynamic world of Media and Entertainment.
The course has been designed and also delivered with the help of industry stalwarts to provide the students a deeper understanding of the industry eventually providing them their own first hand experiences.
The program is aimed at molding aspiring media and entertainment buffs into media professionals ready to take up any challenge which the industry poses!

Eligibility

A minimum 50% in graduation, which must be completed by June 2017.

Should have taken CAT (2016) conducted by the IIMs for the year specified in the advertisement (IIMS have no role in the Welingkar admission process) and /or/ XAT (2017) / and / or ATMA (2017) and / or CMAT (2017) and / or MH-CET (2017) and / or GMAT (2014 onwards).

 Selection Process

The Selection Process comprises of the following:

Admissions are based on merit only. No discrimination is made on basis of the state from which graduation certificate is obtained. There are no reservations for linguistic minorities either.
