NEET PG 2024 exam will be conducted on 23rd June 2024 according to the latest notification released by the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). NEET PG 2024 Overview

NEET PG 2024 also known as National Eligibility Entrance Test Postgraduate is an annual exam for postgraduate admission in medicine courses. Candidates who want to pursue higher studies in the field of medicine such as a Doctor of Medicine or Master of Surgery after completing MBBS will need to take the NEET PG 2024 exam.

The publication of the NEET PG notification has marked the official beginning of the exam process. NEET PG Application Form 2024

NEET PG 2024 application form is released marking the beginning of the NEET PG 2024 exam cycle. NBEMS published an online NEET PG 2024 application form which must be filled out before the last date of registration i.e. 16 May 2024. Candidates should note that the information provided in the NEET PG 2024 application form will be verified with the uploaded documents.

If any information is found to be incorrect in the NEET PG application form, then NBEMS will not issue admit cards to such candidates. To make some necessary corrections, there will be a correction window for a few days. After NEET PG 2024 application forms are submitted, NBEMS will start the verification and issue admit cards to eligible candidates.

NEET PG 2024 Registration Process

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) is the authority for conducting NEET PG 2024 exam. NEET PG registration have begun on 16 April 2024 and last date is 06 May 2024. Candidates need to register on the official website of NEET PG with the correct details within the allotted time by NBE. Here is the step-by-step registration procedure for application to NEET PG 2024: 

Step 1: Go to the official website of NBE at nbe.edu.in and locate the NEET PG application link.

Step 2: Register with email ID to generate the login ID and Password.

NEET PG 2024 Application Correction

Candidates who submit their NEET PG 2024 application form before the specified deadline are allowed to make corrections to the application during the correction window. To make changes to the application, candidates must log in to the official website of NEET PG using their registration ID and password.

NEET PG Syllabus 2024 Phase-wise

The NEET PG syllabus serves as the basis for preparing for the exam. NEET PG 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Medical students must know the NEET PG eligibility criteria before starting the application process. This is important because admit cards are issued to only those applicants who meet the eligibility criteria requirement set by NBEMS. The eligibility criteria for NEET PG 2024 as mandated by NMC are as follows:

  • Age: No minimum age is required for the NEET PG 2024 exam.
  • Attempt: The number of attempts is unlimited for the NEET PG exam.
  • Citizenship: Either an Indian Citizenship or an OCI card is required.
  • Education: The candidate must have completed their MBBS from an MCI-recognised medical college.
  • Internship: Mandatory Internship of 1-year duration must be completed by August 2024.
  • Registration: Either the National Medical Council or the State Medical Council registration is mandatory.
  • FMGE Certificate: Those having a primary medical degree from any foreign medical institution must have the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) pass certificate. 
  • Category Certificate: Candidates seeking category-based marks relaxation must have the required category certificate.

Updated NEET PG Exam Pattern 2024

Candidates must know the updated NEET PG exam pattern to be prepared in advance for NEET PG 2024. The updated NEET PG exam pattern includes important information such as the mode of exam, duration of the exam,  number of questions, and marking pattern. 

The updated NEET PG exam pattern 2024 is as follows: 

  • NEET PG Exam Mode: The exam will be conducted in online mode at the designated exam centers across India.
  • Language of NEET PG question paper: The question paper will be in the English language only. 
  • Number of questions: The total number of questions in the NEET PG question paper will be 200.
  • Question type: The question paper will be in multiple-choice format with four options for each question.
  • Total duration of the exam: The total duration of the exam will be 3 hours 30 minutes.
  • Marking scheme: For each correct answer, there will be a marking of 4 marks, and there will be a negative marking of 1 mark for the wrong answer.

NEET PG 2024 Marking Scheme

NEET PG marking scheme will be decided by the NBE which will conduct the exam in online CBT mode. Candidates will need to solve a total of 200 objective questions of multiple choice answer type. The total time allotted to solve the questions will be 3.5 hours to complete the question paper.

Candidates can select only 1 correct answer from 4 multiple answers to the question. For each correct answer candidates will be rewarded 4 marks for each incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted. However, there will be no deduction of marks for not attempting a question.

NEET PG Admit Card 2024

NBE will release the NEET PG admit card on its official website on 18 June 2024. Applicants must log in to the website using their registration ID and password to access and download their admit card. However, the candidates who are found ineligible will not receive the admit card for the exam.

Candidates must also note that the NBE will not send admit cards to individual candidates through email or posts. Instead, candidates will be notified of their availability through email or SMS.

NEET PG Result 2024

The results of NEET PG 2024 will be published by the NBE by 15 July for candidates who take the exam. Additionally, candidates can obtain their NEET PG scorecard by using their login ID and password. It is important to note that the result will be valid for the current academic session only.

In addition, the scorecard will contain crucial information such as the candidate’s name, category, roll number, marks secured by the candidate, and the total number of right and wrong answers. To qualify for the NEET PG 2024, candidates must achieve the minimum cutoff marks.

NEET PG Cut Off 2024

NBE will release the cutoff criteria for NEET PG 2024 shortly after announcing the NEET PG result. The cutoff marks represent the minimum scores that candidates need to attain in order to participate in the counseling process. As per the previous criteria, the NEET PG cutoff is set at:
