Counselling Procedure
Before we speak the counselling procedure for Bihar NEET 2024, Let us first have a look at the Type of NEET Counselling 2024 for state and AIQ quota.

Counselling Process (AIQ Quota)
Candidates applying for Medical/Dental Colleges in Bihar must have to register themselves for the NEET counselling 2024. Counselling of NEET 2024 for All India Quota will be conducted in two rounds in online mode. The counselling will consist of these steps.
- Candidate Registration: Register to the official website.
- Choice Filling and Locking (Round 1): You have to choose the courses and colleges of your preference and finally lock-in the preferences in the online portal.
- Seat Allotment Result (Round 1): The seat allotment will be published online on the basis of available vacancies and candidate’s choices.
- Reporting to college: Those who will be allotted a seat in the first round, will be required to either reject the allotted seat or report to the allotted college and complete the admission formalities.
- New Registration (Round 2): For candidates who couldn’t register in the first round of counselling.
- Fresh Choice Filling and Locking (Round 2): Similar to round 1 mentioned above.
- Seat Allotment Result (Round 2): Similar to round 1 mentioned above.
- Reporting to college (Round 2): Here it is to be noted that, those who will be allotted a seat in the second round of counselling (15% AIQ Quota) will not be permitted to vacate their seats as per the orders made by the Supreme court of India.
PG Counselling
For aspirants who are applying to PG courses offered by KMC Katihar the following flow chart shows the short but important information about the counselling procedure.
- Applicaons for admission in MD/MS courses will be invited by Bihar Combined Entrance Compeve Examinaon Board, Patna. Candidate will have to apply online as directed and follow the instrucons issued me to me.
- Dates and venue of counseling by personal appearance and/or online will be nofied by the Government of Bihar through its appropriate authority, i.e., Bihar Combined Entrance Compeve Examinaon Board, Patna.
- Candidates in the order of merit shall be called for counselling and for verificaon of original documents and identy by personal appearance. The counselling will be performed and the placement will be done on merit-cum-choice basis. No change in the choice will be allowed later on. The candidates coming late during counselling may be considered but placement will be done only on the exisng vacancy at the me.
- In addion to the documents required by the BCECE Board, Patna, the candidates should bring their NEET PG 2024 admit card, call leer and other related documents including rotatory internship compleon cerficate, printout of NEET-PG 2024 result, photocopy of NEET-PG 2024 admit card, photocopy of ID proof th (Aadhaar card), photocopy of PAN card (self), photocopy of PAN card (father and mother/guardian), 10 th compleon cerficate, 12 compleon cerficate, MBBS compleon cerficate, medical permanent st nd rd rd registraon document, mark sheet of 1 , 2 , 3 Prof. MBBS course, admit card of 3 Prof. MBBS Part-II course, college leaving cerficate, aempt cerficate, character cerficate, no objecon cerficate from employer (if any), all in original, in support of their eligibility.
- The candidates will be asked to exercise their opon for the course from among those available at their merit serial aer their original cerficates/documents and identy are duly verified. Thereaer necessary order will be issued the same day for allotment of the course on merit-cum-choice basis as opted by them provided they have been found eligible in all respects.
- The candidates shall have to join the course within the date menoned in their allotment leer with all necessary documents and requisite fees etc., failing which their candidature may be cancelled.
- Candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria as fixed by the appropriate authority to be eligible for admission in any postgraduate course.
- No candidate shall be permied to pursue more than one course at the same me.
- No candidate shall be enrolled for two courses simultaneously, i.e., as a regular student for one course and as an ex-student for the other course.
- If a candidate has been admied in a postgraduate degree/diploma course in any speciality on the basis of an earlier postgraduate medical entrance test, then he/she will not be eligible for admission in a postgraduate degree course of another speciality on the basis of current NEET-PG 2024 unless:-
(a) He/she resigns and vacates the seat of postgraduate degree/diploma course against which he/she has been admied earlier, within seven days of receiving of the admission order on the basis of current NEET-PG 2024.
(b) He/ she returns all the pecuniary benefits taken thereof for the earlier course, and
(c) He/she is liable to pay compensaon for leaving the earlier course if the final decision regarding the
same is made by the appropriate authority before the commencement of the counselling based on the current
NEET-PG 2024.
